How we operate

At Docemus we aim at meeting our targets in respect with local institutions needs of developing countries. These can contact us anytime they feel interested in our support by filling the “request form” available on this website.

Docemus operates for:

  • Improving both local medical and technical personnel training through scheduled theoretical-practical lessons held by our specialized doctors, biologists and technicians, in those medicine specialties required and considered worthwhile. If needed it will be possible to train local personnel the usage of equipment and related reactive, supplied by our non-profit organisation, or carry out specialised operations on outpatients. The goal is to make the local personnel autonomous, after appropriate training.
  • Setting up analytical laboratories inside hospitals and health centres in collaboration with other NGO’s and non-profit organisations. Our specialised doctors and technicians go on site in order to put into motion and make operative the laboratory. Moreover they are in charge of the recruitment and selection of local personnel, fundamental step towards the upcoming foreseen autonomy of the facility/ies.
  • Training young medicine trainees in Italy on basic but fundamental techniques in contexts lacking of resources, thanks to the activation of parallel courses at the School of Specialisation in Clinical Biochemistry and the Laurea Degree Course in Biomedical Laboratory Technician, both held at the University of Chieti, Medicine and Surgery department.
