Hargeisa – Mohamed Aden Sheikh Children Teaching Hospital
In 2012 Docemus received the request for collaboration from MASCTH no profit organisation (Aden Sheikh Children Teaching Hospital) to set up the analytical laboratory and for the theoretical and practical training of Somali technical personnel.
It’s a children’s hospital and specially in the near future two masters in pediatrics and laboratory medicine recognised by the local government are in the scope.
In January 2013 our laboratory technician experts and collaborators, among whom Marco, went to Hargeisa to set up the laboratory, making it operative and to train theoretically and practically local technicians, accurately selected.
The laboratory is currently up and running and it performs all the analysis needed to maintain its well-functioning status.
Mr. Sulieman Jama Dierie, Somaliland Ministry of Health, in 2016 has approved Docemus collaboration in the malnutrition project, as actual MAS Children Teaching Hospital partner. Docemus will work with MAS CTH providing his expertise and local personnel training.
In 2018 the Ministry of Health Development of Somaliland and the Director General Dr Mohamed Abdi Hergeye have ratified the role of Docemus as a partner of the MAS CTH.
